Praise and Blame - A Sharing of a Performing Artist

Praise or blame based on comparison is never based on truth. It comes from bias.

When you hear yourself say it to someone or someone says it you, "You are an awesome person, so much better than this or that person", become aware it is not an appreciation of what is. You are not giving or receiving the praise from a place of full truth but it is a disappointment talking from a broken expectation. It is an appreciation/approval that fit the mold of an expectation which the other didn't fit. An expectation is very fragile, it can break anytime and there will be somebody else always ready to fill that expectation, once again in comparison.

Most humans can appreciate what they understand. What is not understood is feared. It is a limitation one expresses when they are unable to appreciate the unknown or perspective/action that does not fit their understanding (mold). When one breaks the molds to dwell into the unknown, a natural expansion occurs. The expanded view unfolds a new layer of appreciation for what was misunderstood or feared before.

What occurred between "once feared" and "feeling an appreciation for the same” is an expansion. It is not the other who changed, it is our expansion that brought in more light, more understanding, more acceptance and more appreciation of what is. The other might have expanded too, but it is not until we have expanded that we see their light.

This Universe is vast! What is not understood is lot more than what is really understood. When we fix on a judgement about the other or a situation, we are rejecting a possibility of unfolding of the unknown. When we think we are in charge and we need to control how things go around us, seeps in judgement. When we realize the vastness doesn't need us and it has its own perfect way of balancing and manifesting, seeps in humility. Humility allows acceptance and thereby expansion. It is in this expansion we grow, we flow and we hear the Universe and its guidance (Intuition) on where we are (we are always where we need to be), where we need to be (if it’s time to move forward), and what our actions steps are (even in the adverse or seemingly insolvable situations). In this state of expansion, a natural appreciation emerges for everything and everyone around, where praise doesn't need a comparison. Where blame finds its transformation as it has no hold of the mold. It will be a natural state of love for what is and what is to unfold.

Growth and expansion is not a onetime thing, there exists many more molds and many more layers of expansion into the other dimensions. What is continually expanding and unfolding is never the absolute truth. It is a partial truth! This Universe is vast, there is so much more yet to be unfolded. Each one of us are the drops of this Universe carrying that vastness as our depth, there is so much more yet to be unfolded. Within us and within everyone around us!

Can we allow expansion beyond a praise or a blame?
Can we appreciate the existence of a different view or a different way of being which is different from our own mold (while becoming aware of our own mold)?
Can appreciation be our natural state of being without any condition or limitation?
Can we appreciate for all that is, as it is?

***********

I am a Performing Artist. Praise, Blame, Comparison and Competition have been and still are an (un)natural part of the artist world for centuries (don’t know how far back). While the joy of dancing and learning birthed on its own, the rest came as a baggage from the years of conditioning/limitation of the artist world, I realized. I am a part of the artist world. Every artist enjoys the connection we feel with the source while creating the art that births through our creative womb. But the deep longing of the artist to be appreciated for our work has long created a dependency on and approval by the other (a person, an organization, a community, and the world) to an extent that somehow and somewhere the saga of Praise, Blame, Comparison and Competition became the need and part of the artist world.

In our need to be appreciated and accepted, we learnt to compare and blame.
In order to be ahead of the queue of artists in longing (for praise/appreciation), we learnt to compete.

Praise, Blame, Comparison and Competition is not who we are. We are the essence and vessel of the creator through which flows the creativity of Universe. Our love for art is real. We create and we come alive, yet we continue to feel the baggage weighing us down.

Can we make a conscious choice to expand beyond a praise or a blame?
Can we create remembering who we are in our essence?
Can we allow the creativity to flow without the need for a praise or appreciation, and receive the appreciation in gratitude when it makes it our way (and not get carried away by it)?
Can we appreciate the existence of a flow which is different from our own creative flow?
Can we create in gratitude knowing that we all are chosen to be the vessel of Universe’s creative womb?
Can appreciation be our natural state of being as we create, share and flow, continually?

    Who am I?
In my truth, I am constantly realizing and becoming. I change and transform every day. I can say who I have been yesterday, but that won't be true for today. I can say who I am today, but that won't be true for tomorrow. What I will be tomorrow...is determined by how I live today. A constant transformation towards who I really am is what I am today!

As part of this blog, I share my realization in motion. It's a commitment I make to myself to allow the flow. It's a practice I follow not to perfect but to allow just being me. It's a caring I share as I commit and practice with love and care.

Love, Light & Peace to all ❤️
